Leading paintball brands come together to create new industry powerhouse

December 20, 2013 – G.I. Sportz is pleased to announce it has acquired Tippmann Sports, bringing together two iconic paintball companies. This transaction combines the industry’s leading brands of paint (GI Sportz and DXS), markers (Tippmann and GI Victus), goggles (Vforce) and accessories together under one roof creating a global industry one stop shop.

“This fulfills a longtime dream of bringing together the industry’s best product innovators and leading brands to create a dominant industry player owned and operated by paintball players,” said Richmond Italia, Chairman and CEO of G.I. Sportz.

“By combining the resources of two companies that manufacture products in North America, we’ll be able to serve the paintball industry in new and exciting ways while continuing our dedication to leading-edge products and unmatched customer support” said Denny Tippmann Jr., President of Tippmann Sports.

Both Richmond and Denny Jr. agree that its time paintball comes back home.  Made in AMERICA, run by PAINTBALL PLAYERS.

Having worked closly with Tippmann, ProCaps, and G.I. SPORTZ in the past I can honestly say that this is nothing but good news for the paintball industry.
As they said having the companies in the hands of paintball players instead of bankers is a very good thing.
I look forward to seeing the innovations that will come out of the company and I look forward to continuing my close relationships with them going forward.

If Tippmann maintains their excellent customer service and dealers can get GI Sportz gear and paint with one stop shopping paintball in my region will go to the next level. Always happy when the industry stays focused on players. That player focus will ultimately increase the bottom line.

Congratulations to both companies on what I see as a great union. Richmond has proven once again that he is a great deal maker. We look forward to continuing our relationship with this combined team of paintball visionaries.

I am a long time Tippmann owner of markers. I can not wait to see what G.I.Sports is going to do to improve Tippmann & them self. Congrats on the merge of Tippmann & G.I.Sports.

OK, here's my issue. I want to Buy American and Made in the USA. You said "its time paintball comes back home. Made in AMERICA". How true that? The first marker I bought was a Tippmann 98 because it was an American company and Made in the USA. Tippmann seemed proud it, which made me loyal to the company. Then Tippmann sells out and is no longer a proud family owned company. Pretty sad. But now i see most of their markers made in China. Is there no American pride anymore? Believe me when I say that there is a lot of people that are willing to pay more for a product Made in the USA than China. I even recommended Tippmann to a fellow Buy American enthusiast, who has a large following, and asked him to get the word out about American made Tippmann Markers a while back..And he did. I hope you really do bring it back to America. I will be your biggest advocate.

Thanks for your question. A pipe thread sealant should always be used when assembling tapered pipe threads in positive pressure or negative pressure.

This is excellent news for the industry, as a field that uses Tippmann FT-12 Rental markers, and plans to use GI Sports paintballs and other products we can't wait to see what this deal means.
Congratulations to everyone involved.
